What is FASTCLOT®?
FASTCLOT® is a unique platform technology that uniformly disperses clot-forming proteins to injury sites.
Liquid is fully absorbed via a novel nano-fiber dextran-delivery-matrix carrier that rapidly dissolves on contact. The undissolved material adheres to surfaces, and forms a barrier that plugs exposed bleeding sights. This has the effect of temporarily slowing down or stopping blood flow.
On contact with liquid, the lyophilized, purified, fibrin-producing proteins, thrombin and fibrinogen, dissolve on the nano-scale into a bleeding injury site creating a reliable, robust and cost-effective product platform ideal for stopping bleeding in many surgery and trauma situations.
